Kungsholmaren: Our very own troubadour

How did you end up at Kungsholmen’s Gymnasium?
I moved here 3 years ago. I used to go to a French school that sucked, but then I found out about Kungsholmen’s Gymnasium, talked to Mr. Powers, and now I’m here.

What’s your favorite hang-out in school?
The music room with Inga-Lill. If she’s not there, then the room above, to play the piano. And the gym with the guys, to pump you know, huu! And also to sit in the auditorium with a piano and microphone.

If you got to change one thing about the school, what would it be?
Add more music rooms, and a recording studio. That would be cool.

What’s one of your best memories at school (so far)?
Starting second year was fun, I felt really old, hehe. But I guess just starting at this school. How cool being in a school this awesome!

And one of your worst?
The first time I broke a plate and everyone clapped their hands… I turned really red. It was in first year when you were like new and scared. But if I’d do it again, now, it would probably be the best memory. Like, “yeah!”

Who’s your favourite teacher?
Mr. Lilja, he’s Canadian. And Inga-Lill. They’re tied.

What would you do if you won 10 million kronor on the lottery?
Build a really cool studio/eco friendly house on an island in the archipelago. And buy a lot of instruments, like a grand piano. And buy my own music store – Steve’s Music.

Describe yourself with three words.
Happy, energetic, music loving.

Can you tell us a secret about yourself?
I auditioned for idol, but that’s not a secret… Oh, I secretly hate Anders Bagge, because he said I looked like an elk calf. But I secretly love him for that too.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Probably in London or Paris with a band, playing at clubs every night.

What gives you a kick?
Tea.

Which Astrid Lindgren character would you say you were most like?
The monkey in Pippi Longstockings! He’s just there, enjoying life, doesn’t need to care.

The best lie?
Idol’s the best lie, it’s totally fake.

Which artist would you want to sing a duet with?
Chris Martin. Or Jack Black. I have this secret obsession and always try to be as cool as Jack Black.

What would your last supper be?
Oh, a lot of things. Chinese, and pizza, and a Canadian dish called “poutine”.

What would you bring to a deserted island?
Notebook. Um, never mind. A guitar and a fridge filled with Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

The question from the last Kungsholmare: “Why does it smell fuck in all the toilets in school?”
Because my friend was in there… Okay no, don’t write that.

What would you like to ask the next Kungsholmare?
Coffee or tea?
