One of the most cozy aspects of Christmas have got to be the Christmas fairs, and as we are just about to enter the Christmas month of December it is about time for us to get the low-down on where and when some of the fairs will take place this year in Stockholm.
Stortorget, Gamla Stan
The oldest and most traditional of Christmas fairs in Stockholm began as early as November 24 and will remain every day up until December 23 from 11.00 to 18.00.
Kungsträdgården’s Christmas Fair
For the 17th consecutive year the Christmas fair in Kungsträdgården is arranged, beginning on November 30 and going on all the way to December 22 between 11.00 and 18.00. One of the things that truly sets this Christmas fair apart is the skating rink located in Kungsträdgården.
Skansen’s Christmas Fair
The Christmas fair in Skansen has taken place since 1903, and 2012 will be no exception. It takes place on the first three weekends in December (the dates are 1-2, 8-9 and 15-16) from 10.00 to 16.00.
Sigtuna’s Christmas Fair
If you feel like getting out of central Stockholm, the Christmas fair in Sigtuna has a lot to offer. It takes place on the following Sundays: 2/12, 9/12 and 16/12 between 11.00 and 16.00.
Drottningholm’s Christmas Fair
The annual Christmas fair on Drottningholm takes place on the weekend of December 8-9 from 11.00 to 16.00. During this weekend you will also get the chance to visit the castle.
